DDSC -- post for SAU Bus. Com.
My idea is about an organization who's identity I have changed. I'm calling it Communication in Acronymn Land. Its about the business communication efforts taken by management and employees at this particular federal organization who's name I have changed. Every modern tool known to man is used numerous times to provide the workforce with the latest information for completing thier mission. Yet, surveys indicate that the message isn't really getting across. Stay tuned as I attempt to identify the strenths and weaknesses in this government agency...

Your case idea sounds very interesting. We utilize surveys within my organization also,to measure job efficiency and to guage outside resources. I look forward to reading the rest of your case.
ReplyDeleteIt's rather amazing when a company gives their employees the tools they need to succeed and they are not utilized... sounds very familiar to me and the company I run around with.
ReplyDeleteAh Government... Well it sounds like they need to look at the tools they are using to get their message accross. The company may need to take a different approach to ensure the message gets accross to those in the organization.

I think this is a never ending challenge for most people managers. I am dealing with this right now in my job.
I found a nice poster that I am going to hang outside my office it states, "Change is not only inevitable, it is essential to survival. Why fear it or fight it when you can simply embrace it?
